Rules for ALL AGES
Registration fee* is $30 for each contestant regardless of category or rodeo events entered.

RIDING PATTERN FOR GIRLS 10-16 WILL BEGIN IMMEDIATELY AFTER CHECK-IN!
A parent/guardian must be on the premises at all times supervising their child(ren).
No parent/guardian, relative or friend will be allowed in the judging areas ( i.e., arena and interview areas)
No negative discussion of any contestant will be tolerated. The Little Boots Rodeo reserves the right to excuse persons for conduct that distracts from the enjoyment by others in attendance. If a parent must discipline their child, do it privately!
Contestants should be dressed appropriately according to their age. See Dress Code at right. ... BE REASONABLE! This is just for fun.
The same outfit worn for the Friday night pageant must be worn on Saturday for the grand entry until after crowning. No changing of clothes until after the new queen and princesses are crowned.
Girls who have won a title in a particular age group may not compete in that same age category again.
Winners will be announced after the Grand Entry on rodeo day.
All contestants will be required to ride the grand entry either in the wagon or on their own horse.

Rules for ages 10-12 and 13-16
Contestants ages 13-16 must prepare a 2-minute speech (no props) as part of their judging, and will be will be judged on speech, interview, personality, appearance and riding pattern.
Contestants in age group 10-12 will be judged on interview, personality, appearance and riding pattern.
Horsemanship/riding Pattern WILL required for 10-12 and 12-16 age groups again in 2012.
All contestants must be registered in minimum of 4 rodeo events.
Contestants who have won the title of queen or princess in past rodeos may not compete for that title again.
Queen/princess winners of the 2011 LBR may not compete for 1 year in the same age category.
The new queen and 10-12 princess must remain for the entire rodeo! No exceptions or the winner will be disqualified.
Speech Topics & Riding Pattern will be available on March 31 on registration page

Rules for ages 2-5 and 6-8
Princess winners of the 2011 LBR may not compete for 1 year in the same age category.
Contestants 2-5 and 6-8 must ride in the wagon for the grand entry of the rodeo on Saturday.
Judging will be on personality, outfit, and a brief interview.

Dress Code
for All Ages
Follow the dress code or you will receive a zero for your score on appearance!
Contestants must wear a long sleeve western shirt (buttons or snaps / any color), jeans (any color), boots (any color) and a western hat (any color)
with hair pulled back into
a low ponytail.
Not Permitted:
• Chaps • Vest • Scarves • Slinkies • No shiny, glittery, sequins, fringe, fur or leather on any clothing • No trophy belt buckles (belts with bling ARE permissible) • No skirts, gaucho or split skirts
