The pageant will be on Friday, May 15, 2009 6:00 PM at the Lazy W Arena. Final check in will be 5-5:45 PM.
Winners will be announced after the Grand Entry on rodeo day.

General Information:
A photographer will take pictures of each contestant during the pageant. Information on purchasing will be made available after the rodeo.
Registration forms must be mailed to: Christy Olinger, 7 Willow Drive, Selma, AL 36701-7036, and Postmarked by May 2, 2009.

Rules for ALL AGES
- Registration fee* is $30 for each contestant regardless of category or rodeo events entered.
- The pageant will be on Friday, May 15, 2009, 6:00 PM at the Lazy W Arena. Final check in will be 5:00-5:45 PM.
- A parent/guardian must be on the premises of the Lazy W at all times supervising their child(ren).
- No parent/guardian, relative or friend will be allowed in the judging areas ( i.e., arena and interview areas)
- No negative discussion of any contestant will be tolerated. The Little Boots Rodeo reserves the right to excuse persons for conduct that distracts from the enjoyment by others in attendance. If a parent must discipline their child, do it privately!
- Contestants should be dressed appropriately according to their age.
Apparel should be western wear with contestants dressed appropriately for their age. Rhinestones, sequins or feathers and such are not required for competition. BE REASONABLE! This is just for fun.
- The same outfit worn for the Friday night pageant must be worn on Saturday for the grand entry until after crowning. No changing of clothes until after the new queen and princesses are crowned.
- If a contestant brings a horse, a negative Coggins Test dated within one year of the rodeo must be furnished at the gate for the pageant and again on rodeo day.
- If a contestant needs to stall over night it the contestant's responsibility to contact David or Lynn Woodruff at the Lazy W to make arrangements and pay for stall: 334-265-9293.

Rules for ages 9-11 and 12-14
- Ages 9-11 and 12-14 is required to ride a horse as part of their judging. CONTESTANTS MUST PROVIDE THEIR OWN HORSE FOR THE COMPETITION AND RIDE IN THE GRAND ENTRY.
- Contestants who have won the title of queen in past rodeos may not compete for that title again. (Does not apply for princess titles – read next rule.)
- Queen/princess winners of the 2008 LBR may not compete for 1 year in the same age category.
- *Registration fee is $30 for the queen/princess pageant.
- Contestants 9-14 years old must be registered in 3 additional rodeo events.
- The new 2009 queen and 9-11 princesses must remain for the entire rodeo! No exceptions or the winner will be disqualified.
- Contestants ages 12-14 must prepare a 2-minute presentation speech as part of their judging. This age group will be judged on the speech, and a 5-minute interview as well as horsemanship.
- Riding patterns and speech topics will be mailed after pre-registration closes May 2. This will serve as registration confirmation for queen/princess pageant.

- Princess winners of the 2008 LBR may not compete for 1 year in the same age category.
- *Registration fee is $30 for the queen/princess pageant.
- Contestants 2-5 and 6-8 must ride in the wagon for the grand entry.
- Judging will be on personality, outfit, and a brief interview.
