Congratulations, Bill Harris! The Montgomery County
Cattlemen's Association is pleased to present our arena announcer, with the annual Father of the Year award!
Former PRCA (then ACA) professional rodeo cowboy, Bill Harris, was
chosen as this year’s Father of the Year. Bill’s rodeo career, which included the titles of 1984 Rookie of the Year and 1985 / 1986 World Champion, provides the
perfect backdrop for his position as the Little Boots Rodeo announcer. He has been a vital part of Little Boots Rodeo from
the beginning. Each year, we look forward to Bill’s fun personality and animated interaction with the participants.
Married to his lovely wife Kelly for more than 20 years, the couple has
three children - Meghan, Bishop and Hannah Lee - and one beautiful granddaughter, Ollie.
Hannah Lee has participated in Little Boots for years, but outside
of rodeoing, Bill encourages his children to pursue their own interests,
while still playing the important role of parent, and very often coach, for
his children’s sports, including baseball and softball.
Please be sure to let Bill know how much he is appreciated and congratulate him as Little Boots Rodeo 2011 Father of the Year!
Thank you, Bill, for many fun years in the arena! |
